Milo and Jazz love a good mystery! In The Case of the Stinky Sock, Milo and Jazz are on a mission to discover who stole the star pitchers lucky sock. Each week we will begin by discussing the what took place in our previous reading and make a few predictions based on what we know so far in the story. Each child will have the opportunity to engage in discussion and encouraged to share ideas and answers to open ended questions throughout our class time. We will read through two chapters together each week. ** A copy of this book is not required for our book club. I will share my screen with the class so each child can easily see and follow along** After we finish reading we will summarize what occurred, check for understanding and re-asses whether our predictions have come true or not. This class will be administered in a laid back, relaxed, engaging and fun atmosphere. Reading should be fun not stressful! Each child is welcome to read if they feel comfortable but it is not required. I can't wait to solve some mysteries together!
Learning Goals
Students will engage in meaningful discussion and answer thought provoking questions while reading through the chapter book. Children will practice fluency and comprehension throughout each class.
