This class will be taught in three parts. Students will learn what life was like traveling to the new land on The Mayflower in 1620. They will learn who the people were and where their story began. We will discuss what propelled them to leave England. Students will learn what kind of ship the Mayflower was, how many people sailed on it, what the journey across the ocean was like. I hold a BA in History with minors in Women Studies and Humanities as well as an MA in History. My area of specialty is women's history and American (United States) history from the 1560s to 1960s. I strive to continue my education by taking continuing education courses in many topics pertaining to the settling of the United States.
