Class experience
This class is designed to introduce students to the concept of film analysis. We will go over how a director can use colors, lighting, and camera angles to tell a story. This class will cover how these techniques are used in The Mandalorian by watching and analyzing a different episode each week. Class Goals: Students will gain a deeper understanding of film story telling tools Students will learn how a director will use perspective to tell a story Students will learn about the “Heroes...
Each week we will discuss the episode listed. The students homework will be to watch the episode prior to the class and be ready to talk about what they saw. Students are encouraged to take notes while watching and make note of anything they take to be a “story telling tool” while they watch.
Hello! My name is Mike and I am very passionate about both Star Wars and film analysis. Film analysis is a great art form to become acquainted with because it can make any good movie even better once you are aware of the different ways the director tells the story. Star Wars is one of my favorite movie series because it tells an incredibly deep and rich story that spans generations. I very much look forward to sharing the deep complexities/film concepts used in the movies.
