Students will engage in the reading of Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn. After the reading we will have a class discussion about the chapters that were read-aloud. Students will also explore Medieval Times! We will discuss: Knights Castles Armor Feasts Jousting Medieval Weaponry Drawbridges and More! Students will also draw a medieval picture during each class session via a guided drawing video and share their picture with the class. Students will answer reading comprehension questions about each section of chapters. They will be given an optional writing prompt if they want to complete it as homework. Students may wish to purchase a folder to keep their drawings and worksheets in for this mini-unit study. There is no background knowledge needed for this class. There will be optional homework assignments for older students. Students progress will be evaluated by classroom discussion.

We will be discussing jousting, and medieval weaponry.
Supply List
Students may want to purchase the Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn book but it is not required as we will read this aloud in class. Also students need to bring to class drawing paper, black marker and crayons or colored pencils to color in their drawing.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
