Class Experience
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! In this class, we will celebrate one of America's best children's authors. Students will enjoy colorful slides that will show what inspired Theodor Seuss Geisel to write entertaining stories. Then, students will share their favorite Dr. Seuss books and read one page, if they so choose. Next, the students will answer questions about specific Dr. Seuss books, such as "Would you eat green eggs and ham?" The class will end with the students making a birthday card for...
Students will learn information about an American author. Students will express their thoughts and feelings while speaking to their peers. Students will use their imagination to create a card with something Seuss-like.
Students will need a piece of paper, a pencil, crayons/colored pencils, and, if possible, a favorite Dr. Seuss book.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
