In this one-time class, students will learn about the meerkat's characteristics, behavior, habitats, diets, babies, predators, and other interesting facts as they become meerkat experts.

What is a meerkat? Is it a monkey? Is it a cat? Students will learn the answer to these questions as they find out how to identify this cute little animal. They will learn where it lives, what it eats, what are its predators, and other interesting facts. This class will keep students' interest as they enjoy colorful slides, watch brief video clips, play a little game, and discuss new knowledge together. At the end of the lesson, students will play a fun quiz game for a chance to earn a Meerkat Expert certificate.
