The Maasai people are an indigenous ethnic group in East Africa. They have distinct traditions, customs and culture declared a heritage group in the region. This class will cover the following 1. Family Group and Clans 2. Languages spoken by Maasai People . 3. Life- birth, marriage, death 4. Mythology. 5. Food and Medicine 6. Their special drink. 7. The Maasai have the best Oral Healthcare. What kind of toothbrush do they use? 8. How they have co-existed peacefully with wild animals for millennium. We will watch videos and learn through slides. Meet the teacher wearing Maasai gear in class. She might even have the special drink. This class will be caught using Slides, Videos and some Guest teacher when available. This is a series of classes that covers Ethnic and Indigenous people of East Africa. This is a series of classes that covers Ethnic and Indigenous people of East Africa. Classes do not have to be taken in any particular order. These are different Ethnic Groups/ Umbrella Families. Other classes include:- ***The Gĩkũyũ People (Bantus) *** Rendille People (Cushitic) *** Luo People (Luopean/Lakeside Nilotes).
