Who are the Luopeans? A tribe of people in East Africa around the Lake Nam Lolwe ( formerly known as L. Victoria).The Luo People are Lake Nilotes who are heirs of Ramogi their Ancestor. They are found in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Ethiopia and The DRC. They are fishermen, farmers and pastoral herders. Luos are some of the smartest and educated people in the region. They speak Dhuluo  and other languages. Some of the famous Luos are Luipta Nyo'ngo, Barack Obama, Jaramogi Ajuma Oginga Odinga and Tom Mboya.

They have rich traditions and a highly organized society from naming of children, wailing loudly in funeral and wife inheritance. Join us and learn more of the Luo People You will not want to miss....
