Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to write one persuasive essay utilizing the classical tools of invention, arrangement, and elocution.
Students will read the assigned fairy tale for the class. Students will have approximately one hour of homework per day. Students will practice what was modeled in class using assignments in the Lost Tools of Writing Student Workbook.
Lost Tools of Writing Student Workbook for Level 1. This may be purchased using the following link: https://www.circeinstitute.org/store/book/level-1-5th-ed-students-workbook Cost is $39, plus tax and shipping
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will not assign a grade. Students may submit their assignments through the classroom for an informal assessment.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
We will use well-known Fairy Tales as source texts for our persuasive writing in class. Any non-Disney version is suitable for class.
