Learners of all interests are welcome in this ongoing social club where topics will range from student submitted topics and questions.
Class Experience
This ongoing class provides learners a place to meet new people and connect. While sessions are 45 minutes long, the classroom may stay open up to an hour to allow for conversation. This is a great class for inquisitive learners who are excited to share interests and fandom with others, and who are seeking a protected space for socializing. Students will get comfortable sharing their interests and opinions, and engaging in open conversation.
I received my BA at Lehigh University where I majored in Psychology, and Theatre with Honors. For the past ten years I have been a teaching artist, educator, and mentor in the greater Philadelphia area in musical theatre, improv, acting, scene study, Shakespeare, and audition technique both in schools and with regional theatre companies. I have experience in diverse classrooms including autistic students and learners with multiple disability needs. I have teaching clearances and certifications in PA. My approach in the classroom is person forward and I aim to help all of my students find their creative spark and storytelling voice. The greatest tool we have is our own experiences. All are welcome in my classes, the space is created with diverse learners in mind.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All conversation will be facilitated in the class. Any topics suggested by learners that are inappropriate will be redirected. If you have any specific concerns please reach out.
