In this 1-time class, students will discover the life of Helen Keller, a deaf/blind author and activist who overcame adversity to become one of the most famous women in history.

Class experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Students will gain an understanding of the life of Helen Keller and the impact she had on history.
Students will discuss challenges and adversities faced by people with disabilities and ways in which they can be overcome.
Students will use famous quotes to gain an appreciation of Helen Keller's legacy.
Homework Offered
Students will be given an optional worksheet packet to complete after class. These pages consist mostly of fun activities such as word searches, scrambles, mazes, etc and can be used as students and parents see fit.

Students will be provided with a document before class which contains activities they may wish to complete on their own. No other materials are required for this class.
