Class Experience

Welcome to my Tears of the Kingdom class (the sequel to my Breath of the Wild class 😜). In this ongoing social club, learners will get together weekly to play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with friends. Zelda is a single-player game, so gameplay will not be online; we will all play separately while chatting over Zoom. This class is great for both beginners and experienced players. Beginners can get tips on the first steps of playing the game from both myself and other experienced learners. I can offer help with shrine puzzles, finding key items and unlocking new towers. I will be sharing my screen as I play so that players can work together with me to solve puzzles and battle monsters. Tears of the Kingdom is a form of open-world gameplay. There are endless amounts of fun things to do in the game.

If learners want to sign up just to watch the teacher play and come for just the social aspect of the class, they are more than welcome. They can even help me solve puzzles and look for clues by giving me directions. We will be discussing strategy and our favorite parts of the game throughout the class.

In order to participate in gameplay, learners will need their own copy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as well as a Nintendo Switch. They do not need a Nintendo Switch Online membership as this game is an offline single-player game. Please make sure to have your learner's Nintendo Switch charged and the game ready to go when joining class. If your learner is unable to participate in the playing aspect during the class due to not having their Switch charged or they are unable to find their game, etc., the class will not be refunded. Thank you for understanding! Feel free to message me if you have any questions before class.

Mr. Vaughn
As someone who has been playing Zelda games for most of their life at this point, I am very passionate about the franchise as a whole. Tears of the Kingdom's predecessor, Breath of the Wild is an absolute masterpiece. I pretty much did everything you can do in that game (including collecting all 900 korok seeds... yes, I really did that). I am pretty savvy with technology, so if your learner is having any issues relating to Zoom or setting up their game, I can definitely help out with that.
