Class Experience

In this class, learners will get together weekly to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with friends. This is a single player game so gameplay will not be online, we will all play separately while chatting on Zoom. This class is great for both beginners and experienced players. Beginners can get tips on the first steps of playing the game by both myself and other experienced learners. I have played through the entire game so I can offer help with shrine puzzles, finding key items and unlocking new towers. I will be sharing my screen as I play so that players can work together with me to solve puzzles and battle monsters. Breath of the Wild is a form of open-world gameplay. There are endless amounts of fun things to do in the game.

If learners want to sign up just to watch the teacher play and come for just the social aspect of the class, they are more than welcome. They can even help me solve puzzles and look for clues by giving me directions. We will be discussing strategy and our favorite parts of the game throughout the class.

In order to participate in gameplay, learners will need a copy of the Nintendo Switch game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They do not need a Nintendo Online account as this game is an offline single player game. Please make sure to be signed into the game when joining class. If you need any help signing into the game for the first time, please send me a message before class so that I can send you directions. If your learner is unable to set up and play during the class time due to user error the class will not be refunded. Thank you for understanding! Feel free to message me if you have any questions before class.

Meet the Teachers!

🎮 Mr. Vaughn, B.A., TESOL

Hi, my name is Vaughn! I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I love spending time with my 1-year-old son, my wife, Ms. Kait and our cat, Milo. 🐈‍⬛
While completing my bachelor's degree, I began teaching ESL online in 2019. Since then, I have branched out to the wonderfully diverse Outschool platform.
The thing I love about Outschool is that I can teach about the things I am truly passionate about, which include video games, anime, pop culture, and guitar. I always aim to find the best ways to engage my learners so that they will have an exciting and memorable learning experience. 💫

🎮 Ms. Kait, B.A. Intercultural Studies, TESOL

Hello, I'm Ms. Kait! I have been teaching online for 6 years, predominantly focusing on English as a Second Language. Recently, I transitioned to hosting gaming classes and I couldn't be more excited about it! As a lover of games like Zelda, Roblox, and Mario Party, I believe in creating a safe and engaging environment for all kids to learn in. I can't wait to meet you in one of my gaming, Harry Potter or Marvel classes!
