Class Experience
In this class, we will be discussing the adventures of a small owl named Tag and his friends, Skyla and Blaze, as they try to save their home from the evil vulture named Thorn. But on this long journey they will encounter challenges they never expected. Will the friends be able to make it through together? Let's find out together! Education: BA in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Communication and minors in Philosophy and Theology from the University of St. Thomas Experience: More than 9 years as a homeschool parent, more than 30 years of being an avid reader, 3 years of writing fiction while meeting with published authors to discuss different aspects of writing and books, 6 previous high school-level classes taught on this platform in addition to several classes taught on the aspects of writing on Outschool as well as at local libraries for more than 2 years, I am also a Municipal Liaison for the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) program
Class 1: Chapters 1-4 (pages 1-31) Class 2: Chapters 5-8 (pages 32-58) Class 3: Chapters 9-14 (pages 59-90), book reports, and literary elements!
All students will need a copy of The Last Firehawk: The Cloud Kingdom by Katrina Charman! Book reports and the list of literary elements will be provided in the classroom during the week of class.
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
