In this summer camp, we are going to learn about the largest animals in the Ocean. In this multi-day class, students will learn the basics of these animals including how they hunt, what they eat, what is their role in the ecosystem and some interesting facts. We will engage in an ocean project: create our own largest animal and create an ocean story. We will meet three times a week for two weeks. During the course, each student will create their own largest animal based on what they learn, covering properties such as body structure, adaptations to their environment, and their own imagination. They will get to present their Ocean creature to their classmates during the final class and we will create a group ocean story with all the creatures. My classes offer a unique opportunity to participate asking or answering questions and discussing different topics that we will see in each class. Participation is optional and students can use the chat too. My classes are designed to encourage student engagement and follow their curiosity. There are no prerequisites for this class. The last activity of the class we will create our own unique animal of the ocean using what we learned and our imagination and we will share it with the group. Students are allowed to use pencils, markers, crayons, and color pencils. Students should use a blank piece of paper or a journal.
