In this ongoing Land of Stories book club, students will have the opportunity to socialize, complete crafts, and play games regarding the popular book series written by Chris Colfer, The Land of Stories. It seems as though once you pick up and read the first Land of Stories book in the series you're hooked. You can't stop there you continue to read book after book, and before you know it you've finished the entire series. So you start to write your own fan fiction spin-offs, dream of what it would be like to become a character from the series and talk to every other fan out there about the books. The only problem, is there are not enough people around you that love this series as much as you do. If this sounds anything like you or your child you're in the correct place. The goal of this club is to allow Land of Stories fans to connect with one another and do anything and everything Land of Stories related like charades, artwork, trivia games, working on group spin-off stories, etc. I will begin each class by allowing each student to have a moment to share anything they would like regarding The Land of Stores, it can be anything their heart desires. Once every student has had the time to share we will spend the rest of the class completing a craft or playing games, like Charades, The match, Jeopardy, completing crafts, writing stories, character dress-up competitions, etc all based on The Land of stories. The goal of this club is to have fun and socialize with fellow Land of Story fans. I will provide a brought schedule of activities but this club is heavily student-led, meaning I will allow the class as a whole to decide what activities they would like to complete each week. August 4th: Art and/or Craft August 11th: Book Discussion August 18th: Would You Rather August 25th: Make your own wishing spell

Hello, my name is Jacki, and I am thrilled that you have chosen me to be a part of your child's educational journey.
I have been a homeschooling mom for more than a decade and have taught other children, formally, in a classroom setting as well. I love to work with elementary-aged students in all subjects, including English, Science, Math, and History.
I have a passion for teaching! I believe that children learn best in a fun and entertaining environment, which is why you will often find me singing, dancing, and making a "fool" of myself.
I believe that every child is intelligent, it's my job, as a teacher, to bring that quality out into the open for everyone to see.
"Everybody is a genius. but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
-Albert Einstien
In my spare time, you will find me traveling the world with my family. We have been to 48 U.S states and plan to travel abroad soon. I'm always up for an adventure.
