US Grade 2 - 5
CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition. AGE RANGE: This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this class we will be learning about the Korean War. We will bring this history to life by using the video game of Minecraft. The Korean War is an often forgotten and confusing time in History. There is a lot that happens and this class aims to explore some of the key events. We will be looking at why North and South Korea went to war and their relationship today. We will take a tour of a Korean city through the game of Minecraft. We will get to see how Korea has been changed over the last 100 years. We will see The Korean War like never before! The Korean War should not just be kept in the history books.
Learning Goals
Korea is still a divided nation today. Why is this? The Cold War defined the 20th century and this cannot be fully understood without studying the Korean War. We will learn why Korea became an example for the world and what we can learn for our future.

Parental Guidance
Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.

Supply List
A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
