Inspire a love of writing by joining The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International and create extraordinary adventures and mysteries. You will get your own Kitty Kat Detective name and build your own character. Each week I will share a page from my secret diary with tips and tricks on how to create and solve mysteries. Your adventure is unique to you. Either bring along a scrapbook that you can make into a journal, download and print my journal template that you will get when you sign up for the class, or set up an online blog (if you would like to do this please set it up before class and have a 2nd device to work on alongside our Outschool class). Collect pictures and small objects based on the weekly theme to stick in your journal and inspire your mystery. Weekly Themes - week commencing: January 01 Hogmanay - A Scottish Mew Year 08 An Egyptian Kitty Adventure 15 The Curious Kittyville Bookstore 22 Cats on The Trans Siberian Express 29 The Miniature Cheese Heist February 05 Penguins in Peril There will be more themes following these ones.
Learning Goals
This class is to inspire learners to develop a love of writing. Learners will practice their creative writing skills. They will be encouraged to write as if it is their own secret diary and mistakes in spelling and grammar will not be corrected.

A blank scrapbook or my journal template printed out and stationery - a range including pens, pencils, post-it notes, tape, glue, highlighters. or An online blog with access to a range of copyright-free pictures (there are several sites online with a huge bank of pictures that are free to use)

I trained at a top drama school in London and create devised theatre and inclusive dance performances. I have been a teacher in schools and further education for the last 16 years. I specialize in teaching drama, English, maths, enterprise, and working with students with learning disabilities. In December 2020 I left my full-time job teaching maths, drama, and citizenship in a secondary school for autistic learners to work full time at The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International.
I am passionate about inclusion and mastery. I am skilled at teaching complex concepts using simple visual methods. I use my acting training to retell magical stories with fun, maths puzzles, and games woven in with top tips for individual students on how to develop their maths and communication skills.
I set up The Kitty Kat Detective Agency International as lockdown began inspired by my son's love of mysteries, maths, and cats and I love it so much I never take my whiskers off.Reviews
