Confident Drumming: A Fun, Tailored Approach for Young Learners As your child progresses, I introduce new challenges at a pace that keeps them motivated and ensures they feel confident every step of the way. My accompanying video lessons allow them to practice at home, reinforcing what we learn together and solidifying their skills. What sets this class apart is my ability to adapt lessons to your child’s unique learning style and needs, ensuring a positive and fun experience for every student. Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Berklee College of Music
Hi, I’m Rob Egan — a passionate musician and educator with a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music. Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of performing across the U.S., Canada, and Europe with renowned artists such as Henry Mancini and Bob Mintzer, as well as with the U.S. Army Ground Forces Band. But as much as I love performing, my true calling has always been teaching.
With over 5,000 hours of online instruction, I’ve learned how to create seamless, engaging learning experiences for students of all backgrounds. My virtual studio includes three drum sets, six camera angles, and studio-quality audio—ensuring students feel supported and inspired, no matter where they’re learning from.
So, why do I do what I do?
Because I’ve seen how music transforms kids’ lives. It’s not just about rhythm or playing beats—it’s about building confidence, sparking creativity, and nurturing a lifelong love for learning. My lessons aren’t one-size-fits-all. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every child, whether they’re neurodiverse, autistic, homeschooled, or simply eager to explore music.
As a U.S. Army Band veteran, I bring structure, consistency, and a warm, encouraging approach to my teaching. Every child deserves to feel the joy and pride that comes with discovering their potential.
Helping them get there—one beat at a time—is exactly why I do what I do.
