The July Piano Class is based off the book: The July Piano Book. We will be covering most of the material in the book along with students in this class. (Because of the theming of the class, we only offer this class during the month of July. We are offering other classes like this one of each month of the year. These are either listed in our profile, or are forthcoming). A downloadable PDF of the book we use is included in the class you can print off for your learner, but we will also provide a link to purchase a printed book from Amazon and give you $10 off the class. Each week, our 25-minute classes will be divided into the following times: 🎹 5 Minute Worksheet Time: we will complete worksheets in class, but they should be printed/ready before class starts. 🎹 5 Minute Activity Time: This will change each week as we will split the class between two activites. 🎹 5 Minute Composing Time: Again, these will be completed in class but the pages should be printed before the class. 🎹 10 Minute Music Time: this is where we will learn our song(s) of the day, which are listed below and in our syllabus. Activities such as worksheet time and composing time may not be fully completed during the class, and students may want to play the songs we learn outside of their class, and for this reason, we will post instructional videos of some material after the class meets in the classroom for student to go back and review. Because the content does not build on previous weeks, there is no expectation for students to complete work between classes. Our Weekly break-down is listed in the course syllabus. At the conclusion of the class, we will send out instructional videos of the materials in the book we did not cover for students to work on after the class. Students will be invited to move onto The August Piano Class which has school-themed songs, games, and activities.
