This class is designed to instill joy in the writing process and create a desire to express gratitude through writing. The agenda of this class is as follows and includes time for your learner to write the letter in class with guidance but independently so that the letter is personalized ~ resulting in the greatest impact for the writer and the recipient: 🔸 Discussion amongst learners about the gift and the giver 🔸 Brain Storming & Note-taking 🔸 Organizing the letter into at least 4 parts (For some, this means 4 sentences.) 🔸 Writing the "Thank You" letter clearly, concisely, and genuinely 🔸 Quick edit for capitalization and punctuation 🔸 Opportunity to read the letter out loud (if time allows) In addition, a template will be provided for addressing the envelope if the letter will be mailed.

Pre-Requisites
Skills Needed:
Ability to write the letters of the alphabet
Basic knowledge of phonics
Supply List
I will provide a lined print out for writing the letter. (You are welcome to provide a lined piece of paper for your learner to use instead.) Your learner will need a pencil and an eraser.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
