In this one-time class, students will learn a short memory device, which teaches the rules of adding integers, as well as have the opportunity to practice in an encouraging setting.

Class Experience
In this class, students will learn how to add integers with the same signs (2 negative numbers) and different signs (1 positive number, 1 negative number).
I have taught middle grades math in the public school setting. I have also taught my own children using our homeschool math curriculum up through the ninth grade.
Pencil and paper or a white board and marker
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
In this class I will utilize a google slide presentation. These are slides created by me to provide a visual for our lesson together. Students will only be accessing the slide presentation through my screen share. They will not be able to access the presentation outside of class. There is also no need to create an account.
