I have taught many book studies in my professional career. I am currently running multiple novel studies on Outschool that have been met with great success and interest. I love taking part in discussions and ensuring that the students' needs and interests are met as they read. The Inheritance Series is one of my favorites of all time. I hope to share my love of this series with students! Here is the link to the first three novels in the series for your review! - https://outschool.com/classes/the-inheritance-series-1-eragon-by-christopher-paolini-fantasy-novel-study-xySx1d4Y?usid=l0R3fRwf&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link - https://outschool.com/classes/the-inheritance-cycle-2-eldest-by-christopher-paolini-a-fantasy-novel-study-ahEHSgm3?usid=l0R3fRwf&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link - https://outschool.com/classes/the-inheritance-cycle-3-brisingr-by-christopher-paolini-fantasy-novel-study-NbfhncGF?usid=l0R3fRwf&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link
Students will be completing the reading outside of class time and they are asked to complete any work outside of class that we are not able to complete in class.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
There is violence in the novel as it follows the story of a series of races battling against one another to regain control of Alagaësia which is ruled by King Galbatorix, the mad king. It can be gory, violent, and emotional at times, so please feel free to read through the Common Sense Media Parental Guidance Article! - https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/inheritance-the-inheritance-cycle-book-4
