In this one-time class, students will learn the importance of being kind through a story and a hands on activity.
Class experience
In this class, students will learn what it means to be kind. We will have a discussion that is based around kindness and the students will make a list of things we can do to be kind to others. We will further our understanding of the subject by doing a hands on activity while listening to a story. The children will focus on the words they hear in the story, and as they hear unkind things, they will acknowledge them. The story that will be read and discussed is Chrysanthemum by Kevin...
Students will learn what it means to be kind. They will learn the importance of it and the impact being mean to someone can have on them. They will also work with their listening and critical thinking skills.
Supply List: *A heart cut out of paper. It can be any size and any color. *A handful of Band-Aids
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
