The engine in a vehicle needs three things to run: air-fuel mixture, sufficient compression, and an ignition source ( heat or spark). The objectives of this course are - Define the purpose of the ignition system - Identify ignition system generations - Define and discuss the importance of the ignition system components while relating them to their respective generation - Differentiate between interference and non-interference engines - Test and perform basic service procedures on the ignition system
