Description

Class Experience

In this class we will use simple language and visuals to learn about the amazing creatures of the ice age, one continent at a time!

Day 1--Introduction and Islands: We will start by introducing the Pleistocene epoch, a period in Earth's recent history marked by wide swings in climate pattern--while it is often called the "ice age," it is more accurate to talk about many "ice ages." Students will learn about the morphology (body plan), diet, and behavior of Pleistocene animals. Along the way they will also learn about ecosystems and how they influence the ways that animals can adapt to live there.

I have always been passionate about paleontology! The research I did to put together my dinosaur and Mesozoic Era Outschool classes got me more interested in evolution and prehistoric life than ever. Now I am excited to share what I have learned about Pleistocene megafauna with all of you!
