Teacher Jackie, M.Ed.
In this one-time, hour class, learners will examine meaning, discover origin, analyze examples and create original hyperboles.

This class is taught in English.
Learners will specifically improve their understanding of hyperboles and analyze examples with more success translating figurative language to the literal. Learners will understand that hyperboles are exaggerated literary devices and will make the connections that these devices are tools. Learners will synthesize two derivates from the Greek word hyperbola and apply the understanding to a guided amusing mental picture ( a mnemonic device). The learner will also create an original "hyped" expression to demonstrate concept understanding.

Because, in order to be effective at home and in my profession, I learned and lived the art of inspiring unforgettable learning.
