During this lesson we will discuss current events related to race (national and international), techniques we can use to discuss racial issues, embracing differences between cultures, and how to sort through our emotions as we maneuver these discussions. This will be an informal, open-discussion in a safe space that will allow learners to expand their view of the world around them. There is no prior knowledge needed. Learners are expected to join the discussion as active listeners and compassionate participators.
