Is your little one wondering more and more about their body and how it works? This course is great for your child who is asking and wondering all about their bodies. How does it work? Where does the food we eat go and how does it get there? In this course we will be discussing things like the digestive system, heart, bones, muscles, lungs, organs, senses, and why we get sick. Each class we will learn about a different topic. This class will include an opening question for all learners to engage in if they wish. There will be teacher directed questions and curiosity questions to build conversation and ideas about what each person thinks about as a learner. Then we will watch a video from brain pop Jr explaining about the topic at hand. After the video we will discuss what everyone learned and play a game to help review. Each student will get the chance to share their ideas and stories. There will also be some coloring pages, workbook and guides to help your little one before and after class! Week one: Digestive System Week Two: Heart Week Three: Bones Week Four: Lungs Week Five: Senses Week Six: Muscles Week Seven: Colds/Flu

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
My name is Michelle. I am so glad you found me on Outschool! Let me tell you a little about myself.
I have been teaching since 2009. I have my masters degree in special education. I have the patience and passion for working with students who have special needs. I have worked closely with the autism community since 2012. I have taught students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I have worked closely with children who have been diagnosed with Dyslexia, ODD, Dysgraphia, Autism, ADD, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and those who need social and emotional support. Every child is different and I love teaching students strategies to use not only in academics but as life skills as well. I am an avid reader and writer. I have self-published two books and I am working on more. I love my job because it is challenging and rewarding!
I'm also an online certified TESOL and ESL teacher. I teach children in China how to read and speak English. I've taught over one thousand classes and over three hundred students via this platform. This has given me a tremendous amount of experience teaching children online.
In addition, I have taught children in a preschool setting. I know how important it is to be lively and energetic in order to keep young children's attention. It's also important to be patient and understanding. This experience helped me see the world through the eyes of a child!
I believe that every child is different! Each child has his or her own strengths. Each child has his or her own personality. Each child has the potential to learn and grow in different ways. It is my goal as a teacher to meet those different needs of each unique child.
I will be teaching a variety of classes on Outschool that will instill a love of learning about the world around us. I love teaching many different subjects. My favorite is Language arts.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children! I am the mom a 8 year old, 7 year old and 4 year old. I love spending time showing them the world around them. Arts and crafts is one of our favorite past times!
Thank you for taking the time to learn all about me! I can't wait to meet and get to know your child!
Have a great day!
