The goal of this course is to type at least 30 WPM and mostly type without having to look at the keyboard. By the end of the sessions, the learner should be able to achieve this!
I type 70 WPM myself and was taught by a court reporter.
Homework will only be if assigned work is not completed.
Worksheets may be given periodically. Learners must have a keyboard and a sturdy place where they can sit up straight with their feet flat on the floor.
The assessments are typing tests done throughout the courses.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
For younger learners, helpers may need to help with finger placement and finding the keys until the learner becomes familiar. The first sessions involve learning the keyboard before typing is expected.
