It's the most wonderful time of the year..... wait, wasn't that in a song? In this class, we will explore the history behind two of the most popular winter songs of all time. Both songs were written in response to the commercialism that was growing in the 1950's, but went on to take on a life of their own. We will discuss their origin, different versions, the claymation specials that aired yearly, and why these songs are still so popular. We will compare them with other seasonal songs and come up with ideas for our own songs.
