There is no homework for this course. 
Students will be given access to a "Game Guide" posted in the Outschool Classroom before every class. To maximize every student's ability to participate regardless of background knowledge, students are urged to check the Outschool classroom for their Game Guide BEFORE class so they can be ready to play!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
There are no formal assessments for this course. 
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
As this is a  course in which U.S. History topics are discussed, there may be mention of death, racism, gender, war, disease, religion, and other topics that may be sensitive to some learners. All topics will be taught in an age appropriate manner, in a Historical context. Practice questions and responses are inspired by Common Core & the AP College Board.  Resources used to confirm correct responses are listed below and may be periodically updated; therefore parents are urged to save this page and revisit.

For this course, students may occasionally use the following tools, and they will be used as follows: 
-Kahoot: used for trivia questions (no student account necessary. Students provided a game code to join)
-Nearpod: typically used for escape rooms or trivia (no student account necessary. Students are provided a code to join OR resource may simply be used on screen as part of instruction without requiring students to access it)
-Quizlet: for trivia question team challenges (no student account necessary. Students provided a game code to join)
-Padlet:  Used for sorting games or as a student scaffold for responding (may be shared with student (no account required) or used on screen as part of instruction without requiring students to access it) 
-BuzzIn.live: a virtual buzzer that allows students to respond to questions (no student account necessary. Students are provided with a code to join)
Trivia & Content Questions will be guided and inspired by Common Core Standards + AP College Board+ National Social Studies Standards as well as inclusive History Books such as:
