Hat templates will be provided and will need to be printed before class. While the students are listening and creating we will practice making predictions and recalling the events in the story. At the end of class the students will have a chance to share their hat, if they choose. This is a fun and relaxing winter class to enrich and entertain your child.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Nikki Miller. I love to teach and learn with students of all ages. My teaching experience consists of 13 years in a public school. I have taught many grade levels and am currently a K-12 library media specialist. I taught kindergarten for seven years prior to that. I have a masters degree in Childhood and Special Education. I have almost completed my second masters degree in Library Information Science. My philosophy is that learning should be a hands on experience. It is not always what kids are learning, but how they are learning that is most important. To make this happen it is always my goal to connect with my learners. A fun fact about me is that I love dogs and am in the process of training my golden retriever lab puppy to be a therapy dog. I also have two crazy boys, one is 6 and one is 9.
