Class Experience

In this one-time, lecture style, course, we will learn about the life and music of some of the most influential female composers of classical music history. We will go over their most popular compositions and how they have affected music today. The class has a special focus on the inspiring things that each woman did despite the cultural norms and expectations of the day. We will also review some of the things in their lives that affected their music careers, family life, and musical...

This class is taught in English.

Students will learn the basics of many of the female composer's lives, compositions, and musical stylings.

I've studied music and music history since I was a young student myself. I have loved learning about the great musical composers!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
