In this fun introductory course, we will debate and discuss who are the student's favorite superheroes of all time. This course is about comic books but the educational factor is meant to improve their debate skills, public speaking, and social interactions. Students will present their arguments and have to defend them with logic and facts. My teaching style is interactive between student and teacher, adaptive for each students needs, and most of all, fun! This is meant as an introductory course and if students enjoy it, they can sign up for long-term courses.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching for almost 20 years and have applied all that I teach in my personal life to attain unique success both personally and professionally in every aspect of my life. In my business, in my teaching, as a parent, a son, and as a human being. I have successfully launched several businesses that generate millions of dollars of income and employ dozens of people. I have volunteered and been recognized for my public contributions to society. I have a wonderful 10 year old son who loves sports and plays the piano by ear. I have been recognized by my peers in education and even teach other educators best practices in education. I have been published and have appeared on radio and tv programs to discuss my approaches and I cannot wait to help students on Outschool do the same.
I have achieved success in many fields and most are unrelated but I utilized my unique approaches in all of them.
I have built successful businesses
I have built one of the fastest-growing YouTube channels
I have been awarded numerous times for my community efforts
I have raised a very successful and wonderful son as a single father
I have been teaching my approaches to 10's of thousands of people on some of the biggest stages
I have succeeded in anything I have ever set my mind to and I can help your kids do the same.
I am also a big kid, comic fan, star wars fan, and more for over 35 years, so I figured to combine the two because education works better when students can relate to the topic via a familiar subject matter. I have been operating a law firm, teaching online, at universities, teaching many students in China for the past 16 years but decided to return to primary and secondary level kids because I am a single father and my son pushed me to do this because he says I am much happier doing this. I also work with a lot of kids that have learning disorders and are very shy but we get them they are super stoked after the class. One parent told me their son never reads because of his medical condition and he ran to right after class, so I could not be happier. I hope to see you at my next class.
My philosophy of teaching for the past 20 years, from ages 5-50 is made up of 3 ingredients;
1. Teaching is a relationship between student and teacher, not a dictatorship. For the student to not just learn but retain, they must feel involved and be involved.
2. Adaptation, no 2 students are the same and they will not learn in the same way. A teacher must adapt their approaches to the student's strengths. A student may be shy, overactive, an auditory learner or a visual learner, etc.
3. Education must also be fun, our memories are based on mostly nostalgic and happy memories, that is how we best retain knowledge. When you think back on the hundreds of teachers in your lives, who sticks out the most? The fun ones who not just taught you but made things fun.
I teach history, public speaking & debating, resume and interview classes, poker for kids, business, and life skills, as I have been for over 15 years. I teach in one on one settings online as well as in large classrooms of 200+ students. I have always received the highest praise and honors from professors and students as well as been invited as a member of faculty review boards to help improve other teacher's presentations and styles in the classroom.
I cannot wait to see you in my next class
