RULES AND INFORMATION 

Thank you so much for taking our class before we begin. I'd like you to read over the list of rules that we must have to have a successful class. 

HAVE FUN!!! Yes, that is always my first rule. There are many things to stress about but this class shouldn’t be one of them. Students should be attending my class to have an escape or an outlet from schoolwork and the real world. Half fun half educational but they should leave class feeling like it was 100% fun. 

Always be kind. We do not allow any bullying in our classrooms at all costs. There are no three strikes you're out, you are just out. We are very big on making sure our classes are a positive experience and we will have no one risk that safety or environment. If a student is caught bullying they will be withdrawn and receive a full refund. 

Please always bring a pencil, a notebook/sheet music, and water. Students will be required to write/draw down their choreography to help them remember the dance. Water is important to keep your vocal cords moist as well as keep your muscles hydrated. 

Please attend class on time. And we need all 55 minutes to complete what we need to do. If you're going to be late to class please just send a message my way. 

Please practice 10 minutes a day or 1 hour a week. If you do not practice for this class you will not do well. We don’t believe in perfection but we do believe in your best. The only way to achieve your best is to practice and put time into the things that you commit to. So please practice at least again 10 minutes a day or 1 hour a week. (Divide this hour throughout the week however you see fit. Great learning opportunity about time management) 

Dress Code: No FLIP FLOPS, SANDALS, OR CROCS! Barefeet, socks, tennis shoes, jazz shoes, and ballet slippers are all acceptable footwear. No crop tops and shorts must be at least 1 inch below the tush. We are all about safety and we want to make sure the students are always dressed appropriately. 

All sheet music must be destroyed after class. Performance videos can only be shared with family and friends. It should not be shown to the general public. If on a public domain like YouTube, please make the video UNLISTED. 


How is this class structured?

The students will be learning 1 short singing solo and 1 original dance routine to the class musical theme. 
By the last class, students will be recording their own performances of these two songs. In the last class, we watch each other's performances and have a movie day (pj’s, candy, snacks, family and friends invited) 
There will be more detailed information posted before the Performance Project Video is Due!
