♪ COURSE OUTLINE ♪ *This is an ongoing ukulele class for (advanced) beginners and intermediate students. We will build on student's skills (student already needs to know the basics of ukulele playing when joining this class - see below): learning to switch between chords, mixed or complex strumming patterns and rhythms while learning a new song each day. *Please note that this is not a class for a student who has never played the ukulele before. Students should have experience of playing at least 2-3 of the following chords: C Major, F Major, A Minor, G Major, G7 chords. This is an inclusive class and children of all abilities and disabilities are welcome. I have experience in a classroom as an Early Years and Primary Teacher with a variety of children. Please send me a quick message with details about your child's needs or diagnosis and I will do my best to accommodate them in my class! Each class will have the same structure (but will not be built on the previous class): 1. We will do a quick warm-up. 2. We will learn the new chords required for the song we are learning during that class. 3. We will practise the strumming technique for that specific song 4. We will learn the song for that class, line by line, verse by verse. 5. Students can perform parts of the song should they choose to. ♪ WE WILL LEARN ♪ ♪ Week of 24th October: "A Million Dreams" ♪ Week of 31st October: "A Million Dreams" ♪ Week of 7th November: "Other Side" ♪ Week of 14th November: "The Greatest Show" ♪ Week of 21st November: "Rewrite The Stars" ♪ Week of 28th November: "This Is Me" ♪ Week of 5th December: "Never Enough" ♪ Week of 12th December: "A Million Dreams" ♪ Week of 19th December: "Other Side" This class will meet the needs of each type of learner, that includes kinaesthetic, visual, and auditory, through colour-coded chord sheets and visual presentations. For best results in seeing success with learning new songs is practising the chord transitions during class and outside it. Children can drop in and out of this ongoing class and learn only the songs they love and are interested in, or they can stay enrolled for as long as they want to. Each class stands on its own, and it doesn't matter if your learner attended the previous class or not. Each song is taught separately, not in relation to the previous or the next song. At the end of learning the 6 songs that are listed, we will start it all over. No new songs will be included in the following weeks, but feel free to join other classes I teach.

Supply List
→ Please make sure that students need to have a TUNED ukulele for each class. Please make sure you tune your ukulele for this class https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VOuRBjmzAM&t=9s → Learners can use a pick, but it is not compulsory; I actually recommend the use of fingers for strumming/picking. → In order for me to give feedback and see clearly the learner while playing their instrument, please make sure you position the learners, so I can see their BOTH hands when playing, head to the waist, in a well-lit room (the light coming from their front, not from the back). The young learner can sit on the floor, with their legs crossed. If they are joining from an iPad/laptop, they can also be on the floor or a little stool, it can point straight or downwards. → Please note that the learner can't sit on an armchair as this will restrict the way their instrument needs to be positioned and also restricts the movement of the learner's arms. A chair with no arms, or a stool are recommended. BOTH learner's feet should be on the floor, not hanging. → Please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or concerns. → The teacher will provide the songs and other files (strumming and chords sheets); → Ukulele (Soprano or Concert Standard tuning G C E A) → Ukulele Tuner App

→ My name is Bella and I have been a teacher for 20 years. I love teaching music, guitar and ukulele to young children because it gives them a way to FIND who they are, to EXPRESS their feelings, emotions and thoughts and to LET IT GO!
→ I have found that young children love playing musical instruments, making up their own songs, creating rhythmic patterns and learning a new musical instrument through story-type lessons. I am building each new lesson on their interests and passion, aiming not only to teach them a skill, but to develop a life-long LOVE for music, to SING, CREATE and PLAY the songs from their hearts!
