What do you call a strawberry that causes fear? A scary berry!

Are you looking for fun Halloween language games and challenges?

This small group engaging class invites students to solve a number of different types of Halloween-themed word-based challenges such as Solve the Word Logic Mystery, Rhyming Riddles, Wordy Gurdies, Wordies (images that represent popular sayings), Double Puzzles and more! Students will have fun keeping score throughout all the challenges and may get to do the bonus challenges as well.

Learners won't realized that they are practicing reading, critical thinking, deductive reasoning and social skills while playing with language.

The class will interest diverse learners since it has many activities that appeal to both linguistic and visual learners and the language games progress in both difficulty and interest level. All of the language games have a Halloween holiday focus.

Benefits of this class include:
-Allows students to practice reading and writing
-Reinforces and expands vocabulary
-Fun format promotes focus (concentration) on learning
-Develops critical thinking and problem solving skills (especially for the logic challenges)
-Invites student participation and socializing
-It’s FUN!

I am a very encouraging and positive teacher (with 20 years experience) and I take every opportunity possible to maximize student engagement. Students taking this class are strongly encouraged to have their cameras on as it develops students' intrapersonal skills and I can more effectively teach and respond to students' non-verbal cues.

You are welcome to message me to request another time that works better for your schedule.

Please have paper and a pen or pencil ready for the start of class and be ready to have fun!
