Description
Class Experience
Deliberately look for positive media Become consciously and intentionally grateful
Learners will be expected to keep a daily gratitude journal. Each day they will record things that they are grateful for. This can be things from their past, (a happy memory) present, (from that day!) or future, (something that they are looking forward to). On top of recording their gratitude daily, they will also look for positive local media stories and record a basic summary of one of these media stories per week in their journal. Each week, the learners will be expected to come to class prepared to share one or more things they recorded in their gratitude journal, along with at least one positive local news article. If they cannot find a local story, they are welcome to look further. Learners can decide which parts of their gratitude journal they are comfortable sharing and which parts they are not.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
