Class Description: In this engaging and interactive class, students will explore the concept of "The Good Life" through the lens of connections—both in relationships with others and in our relationship with the natural world, with a special focus on the practice of forest bathing. Throughout the course, students will: Understand Relationships: Learn about the importance of healthy relationships, empathy, and communication skills through discussions and individual reflections. Explore the Natural World: Discover how humans are interconnected with nature, investigating ecosystems, biodiversity, and the impact of human actions on the environment. Experience Forest Bathing: Participate in guided forest bathing sessions, where students will learn to slow down, observe, and connect with nature through their senses. This practice encourages mindfulness and promotes relaxation, helping students appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the natural world. Why Relationships Matter: Delve into the significance of relationships in our lives, understanding how connections with family, friends, and community contribute to overall well-being and happiness.
