This class entails 8 life skills that promote good manners & etiquette - Say Please & Thank You; Eye Contact; Active Listening; Be Respectful (and Non-Judgmental); Don't Ask about Income; What questions not to ask an adult; Get to Know Yourself & Always be Kind. Following these guidelines will get you far in life. Students will listen to the teacher explain each point, then can ask questions or give examples of each point. I always try to include each student in the class discussion and encourage participation.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of 8 life skills/lessons such as saying please & thank you; having good eye contact; actively listening; being respectful (and non-judgmental); not asking about income or cost of houses or cars; knowing what questions not to ask an adult; getting to know yourself and always being kind. Knowing and practicing these points will promote good manners and etiquette and will better the person's chance or becoming a successful, productive member of society.

I believe I am qualified to teach these subjects because of my 10 years of hospitality experience. I worked for the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, the Hyatt Regency San Antonio and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center for 10 years total. I worked in Catering and Convention Services, Front Desk and Sales.
