We will work on: Expressing a diagram or quantity as a fraction of another Simplifying and Equivalence Ordering fractions Finding fractions of amounts Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division Converting between mixed numbers to improper fractions Converting between fractions, decimals and percentages Fractional equations (extension) In each class we will work on tasks from all of the above with plenty of variety across the week, spending 5 - 10 minutes on a task before moving on and developing it further. I use fun activities, games and quizzes to ensure all students are offered the opportunity to share their ideas and work with myself and others and contribute to the class discussion. Week 1 Lesson i - Expressing quantities as fractions, simplifying fractions Lesson ii - Equivalent fractions, converting between improper and mixed fractions Lesson iii - Ordering fractions, adding and subtracting fractions Week 2 Lesson i - Multiplying and Dividing Fractions Lesson ii - Converting between fractions, decimals and percentages Lesson iii - Finding fractions of amounts

This class is designed to equip all learners with a toolbox of skills which work for them when answering questions on fractions. Visual aids, a choice of methods and clear working out is offered to all.
Supply List
Pen/pencil and paper. A whiteboard and pen would be very useful to show answers on camera to interact with myself and other students.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
