In this class, the Floor still has Lava! This is the 2nd adventure where we will play variations of the Floor is Lava all while being active and getting exercise. We will start with introductions and a basic overview the game. We will practice to a Floor is Lava song. When will then practice different types of gross motor coordination movements. Of course this means a super exciting game. Children will be challenged with moving forward and backward, side to side, standing on one foot, hopping and tip-toeing. What's the challenge? Don't stop moving or you'll sink into the Lava! Next is the fiery ball of lava! I can't give away all of the fun surprises, so children will find out what this game is all about! We will then have a floor is lava themed scavenger hunt. For this activity, children will need access to items around the house in order to participate. Games are specially designed so there are no individual winners, rather everyone just has fun. Children will feel empowered that they can participate in the dances and games no matter their age or skill. We will end class with a "what I'm good at" show and tell. Children will have the opportunity to tell us or show us one thing they like to do. This encourages confidence and shows us that we are all unique and special. We all have different talents so let's celebrate them! This class incorporates moves from the Zumba Kids program. Zumba is different than a dance class because it is intended for every child. There are no skill levels. Children are allowed to move however they like and however is comfortable. This gives the child the opportunity to explore who they are. This class will encourage confidence, empowerment, and pure joy! The goal of class is to have your child happy and smiling ☺️
Learning Goals
Children will develop their movement and coordination skills. They will develop their listening skills. They will be active and exercise in an engaging way. They will increase their confidence and creativity by expressing themselves with movement.

Parental Guidance
Children will need a space to move around and dance. The space should be free of object on the floor or anything they can bump into. This is to avoid injuries or falls.They will need appropriate shoes (no sandals, flip flops or heels). They also need a bottle of water.
