Description
Class Experience
The topics that will be taught are the 5 themes of geography with application to the students' lives as well as other locations around the world. The 5 themes is meant as an introduction to world geography and is the basis for how geographers study locations. I will teach in a live zoom via short interactive lecture using slides. The students will then produce their own examples of the five themes to apply and review the content. The learners do not need any prior knowledge for this class. ...
This class is taught in English.
The students will be able to explain and apply the five themes of geography.
I have spent three years teaching World Geography at the high school level. I have taught this specific lesson to roughly 180 students each year.
There is no homework for the class. Students will complete their examples of the five themes during the class to share out with the group. Each student will complete their own project.
The learner progress will be assessed through questioning and with their project at the end.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
