Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
We will examine how Nazi Germany economically and socially disenfranchised Jewish people while running a euthanasia program called T4 to eliminate lesser desired members of German society (disabled, elderly, mentally handicapped, etc.). The class will encompass a memo issued by the Nazi Foreign Ministry in 1939 to the Wannsee Conference in 1942, to the end of the war in 1945 and how Nazi policies evolved and were coordinated to murder as many Jewish people as possible.

Content is presented via slides, videos, images and discussion. Students are encouraged to ask questions, summarize and analyze the content shared throughout the class.

The class will be taught in 4 sections:
     Economic and Social Disenfranchisement
     Relocation, Forced Labor, Ghettos
The T4 Program vs. The Final Solution
     Systematic annihilation on multiple fronts

This class IS graphic and may be challenging for sensitive students. Images of concentration camps, emaciated humans, gas chambers, and dead bodies may be included in the presentation. Sensitive students should NOT enroll in this class.

Of additional note is that the horrific atrocities are presented from a historical perspective that humanizes the victims. The teacher has vast experience with teaching this to young people and the limits of what they can absorb during a short class.

ONLY students with prior knowledge of WWII and the Holocaust should enroll in this class. The minimum age will be adhered to strictly.

**********PLEASE READ*************
Outschool has recently changed its policy regarding class cancellations. We know how disappointing canceled classes can be for learners, so we too are amending our policy. In the past we have waited for late enrollees, of which we have had MANY! Unfortunately we can no longer do that.

Instead we will evaluate class enrollment for ongoing classes on teach Sunday at 5pm Eastern. IF enrollment falls below 3 students, we will push the class back a week. When other sections are available students will have the option to transfer to another class. All other refunds will be provided as per the Outschool Limited Refund policy (see below). If for any reason the class does not meet your expectation, you have the confidence of knowing that Outschool has a Happiness Guarantee and will provide a refund upon request via their Customer Support.

Transfer requests within 24 hours of a scheduled class will NOT be approved. At that point it is too late to reschedule the class, and it is unfair to other families who may have enrolled thinking there were multiple learners enrolled. Instead students will be encouraged to watch the video of the class.

Thank you for understanding, and for your loyalty.
