Description
Class Experience
In this class, children will explore places near and far, including civilizations and cultures, both ancient and modern, using history together with the five themes of geography. The course will begin by introducing basic map skills, including key map features and different types of maps. We will then look at each of the continents in isolation, to gain an awareness about how each is unique. Subsequent weeks will focus on themes such as oceans, regions, and select countries or...
There will be suggested read - alouds, crafts, and websites to explore.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
