Writing is hard for many reasons, but a common one is not knowing what to write, in this flex class, Mrs. VZ will be prompting students to write descriptive, personal narrative, imaginative narrative, persuasive, and expository paragraphs.

Students will learn how to respond in writing to a given prompt. Step One: Complete the brainstorming page. Step Two: Write the first draft and upload it to Mrs. VZ Step Three: Mrs. VZ will respond with personalized, encouraging, and constructive feedback Step Four: Write and present the final draft being sure to incorporate Mrs. VZ's suggestions
Homework will consist of completing a three-page guided assignment which includes, brainstorming, first draft, and final draft writing.
Students may be encouraged to use a dictionary or thesaurus to improve their spelling or word choice. Additionally, some of the paragraphs may require the use of computer research.
The first draft of each paragraph will be reviewed and personal improvement recommendations will be given. If students request a graded paper, the final draft of each paragraph will be graded and returned.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
