The Eras Summer Camp: The History and Legacy of Taylor Swift and Her Music

In this 8-week-long course, we will be going through the music and history of Taylor Swift. Each week we will dive into Taylor Swift's discography-- learning about the history of her life and albums.

Beginner - Advanced Level
Each week, we will cover one to two albums from Taylor Swift's discography-- examining the music and history of the singer throughout her career.  The six weeks will cover: 
Week 1: Taylor Swift and Fearless
Week 2: Speak Now and Red
Week 3: 1989 and Reputation
Week 4: Lover and Folklore 
Week 5: Evermore and Midnights 
Week 6: TTPD and Next Steps in Swift's Career

Parental Guidance
This course is aimed towards tweens and teens as Taylor Swift's music does contain some strong language and the concert movie has a PG-13 rating. We will be using radio and clean versions of her songs. Parents, do be aware that your learner may request to be the DJ for any car trips this summer!
Pre-Requisites
Any Swiftie is welcome to join us over the summer! Singing is not required, but there will be performance opportunities throughout the summer!

Hello everyone! My name is Brandon (he/him) and I am a performer, voice teacher, and interdisciplinary educator with over 6 years of experience teaching voice to learners of all ages! I graduated from Indiana University with a Master's in Post-Secondary Instruction and a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance. I am a former middle school choir and theatre teacher and I also taught elementary music. 

I teach all levels of singing and music, from beginning students to those who have been taking lessons for years! In addition to teaching singing, I also teach music history, musical theatre, and introductory French. As an interdisciplinary educator, I come with a wide array of subject knowledge to provide a well-rounded approach to learning.

My private lessons will be tailored to each student's needs. It is important that my students know that I am inclusive and supportive of all backgrounds and I pride myself and creating a teaching environment where students feel empowered and supported.

I love Minecraft, Fortnite, Goose Goose Duck, and cute pets! Currently, I am loving the new musical, The Notebook!
