Students will learn general information about the Eocene Epoch through an engaging in-class discussion accompanied by an interactive Powerpoint presentation and a few videos from Youtube showcasing how some of these animals may have lived. Some Eocene Epoch fossils will be shown during class. Students will learn about different mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish that lived during this time in our Earth's history and about the global climate and continental positions. At the end of class,...
Students will have a better understanding of life during the Eocene Epoch, global climate, and continental positions.
Students, if desired, will need a pencil and paper for notes. At the end of class each student can show one or two fossils they may have from the Eocene Epoch.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
