Class Experience

In this course students will learn about personal values, family values, community values, and how to take committed, positive actions based on these values.


The class is structured into interactive weekly sessions, each focusing on a specific value-related topic as seen in the syllabus. Each week has a video lecture, slides, interactive activity such as a Kahoot.My teaching style is student-centered and interactive, focusing on active participation and practical application. I emphasize collaboration, critical thinking, and real-world connections to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. I strive to make all kids comfortable in their learning environment while also providing a sense of community. 

Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with me and each other through various activities. Discussion forums, kahoots, google classroom and video posts will be used to ensure learners feel as if they are in a live classroom.
Learning Goals
1. Develop a Strong Sense of Personal and Family Identity - Help learners identify and appreciate their own values and the values of their family, fostering a sense of pride and belonging.

2. Encourage Active Community Participation - Inspire learners to engage in their communities through service projects and collaborative efforts, promoting a spirit of cooperation and positive change.

I teach social skills, values and emotional regulation in person and online as a profession. 

I have taught this specific course online and in person 

I have a Masters Degree as well as a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Behavior Analysis.

I have over 16 years experience working with kids who are both nuerotypical and nuerodiverse and a certification in special education.
